The following is a full list of features that were implemented in Pisys PTW 1.7.2.6 release.

 1.1.1.Permit Questions on Reissue

We have significantly improved the capabilities of our permit form by introducing the option to define custom questions during the Reissue workflow stage. This enhancement operates similarly to the optional "Approval" step, where the visibility and necessity of these custom questions will only be activated if the specific permit version utilises the reissue step. This addition allows for a more tailored and responsive approach, ensuring that the reissuing process aligns seamlessly with the unique requirements of each permit.

 1.1.2.Stay in the current permit as a follow-up screen

The previously labelled "Save" button has been transformed and elevated to "Save & Exit," reflecting its true function of both preserving your work and guiding you out of the current interface. In addition, a brand-new "Save" button has been introduced, streamlining your experience.

This fresh button ensures that your Permit is securely saved while instantly refreshing the screen, allowing you to stay on task without interruption. The following Edit screens have been enhanced to include this useful addition:

  • Isolations
  • Risk Assessments
  • Method Statements
  • Routine Duties

These upgrades not only simplify the workflow but also enhance your productivity, making every action seamless and efficient.

 1.1.3.For permits requiring a gas test, the system should navigate directly to the gas test screen

We have lifted the previous limitations that restricted the addition of Gas Tests to expired permits. This update now allows users with the necessary permissions to seamlessly incorporate Gas Tests at any point after the permit has been created, right up until the permit is marked as Completed or Rejected-Closed.

When a permit transitions to the status of 'Requires Gas Test'—following the steps of Issue, Suspend, or Reissue—users with the appropriate rights will find themselves automatically redirected to the Gas Test entry screen, streamlining the process and ensuring they can act promptly and efficiently. This enhancement allows our users to manage their permits with greater flexibility and ease.

 1.1.4.Show Created By on Permit List screen.

The Permit List screen has been updated to prominently showcase the "Created By" field for each permit. Now, nestled just beneath the Created Date in the same column, you'll find the name of the individual who initiated the permit. This addition aims to provide our users with clearer insights and foster better communication regarding permit ownership.

 1.1.5.Toast Notifications

The latest enhancements include the implementation of toast notifications that appear for every Delete and Archive action, offering immediate visual confirmation to users about the success of their actions. These notifications serve to enhance the user experience by providing timely feedback. Additionally, for those engaging with the "Save & Add Another" buttons, each click will trigger a toast notification, ensuring users receive instant acknowledgement of their choices. Furthermore, a new confirmation message has been introduced when the Archive button is pressed, giving users an extra layer of assurance before finalising their decision. This not only helps prevent accidental actions but also reinforces confidence in the archival process.

 1.1.6.Update Edit, History, Archive & Delete buttons to use icons

To enhance user experience and streamline the PTW interface, we have updated the buttons for Edit, History, Archive, and Delete by incorporating intuitive icons. By replacing text labels with universally recognised symbols, such as a folder for editing/open, a clock for history, a box for archiving, and a trash can for deletion, we can improve the visual appeal and clarity of the application. This change will not only make the buttons more aesthetically pleasing but also facilitate quicker recognition and understanding of their functions, allowing users to navigate the system more efficiently.

 1.1.7.Allow the sending of an email when a permit is suspended

The classic suspend workflow already utilises Notifications, directing users to a 'Suspend' screen where they can add a comment, choose who to notify, and enter their password. This aspect remains unchanged and functions as it previously did.

In contrast, the Reissue/Suspend workflow does not have a dedicated 'Suspend' screen; it consists of a simple button click followed by a confirmation dialogue. To maintain a streamlined Reisue/Suspend process and keep it as close to the original workflow as possible, Notifications have been integrated directly into the confirmation dialogue. This works as follows:

  • On clicking "Suspend", if the Permit Version uses notifications, show the confirmation dialogue with the following people/emails listed:
    • Creator (checkbox)
    • Recipient (checkbox)
    • Issuer (checkbox)
    • Other (textbox)
  • If no notifications are used, just the basic confirmation is displayed

This functionality has been added to the following screens/buttons:

  • Permits -> Edit
    • Suspend
    • Suspend & Reissue
  • Home -> Permits -> Issued
    • Suspend
  • Permits -> Multiple Reissue/Suspend
    • This screen previously allowed users to select some permits for reissue and others for suspension at the same time. However, since reissuing requires the input of date, time, password, and other information, the suspend dialogue would need to appear either alongside or after the reissue dialogue.
    • To improve functionality, the system has been modified so that users can only select either the reissue or suspend checkboxes; the other column becomes read-only once a selection is made.
    • Additionally, when multiple permits are selected for suspension, the dialogue does not specify email addresses. Instead, it allows users to select the creator, recipient, and issuer. Notifications will be sent based on these selections when processing the suspension, provided that the permit version has notifications enabled.

 1.1.8.PTW Top Menu/NavBar Redesign

We have made changes to how the top menu in PTW functions. Previously, users had to click on the small arrow icon next to each menu item to access the submenu, which seemed to confuse many people. Now, the top menu will automatically expand each submenu when the user hovers over the relevant menu item.

 1.1.9.User Account Recovery Options

To enhance your experience and safeguard your information, we are introducing new user account recovery options. These changes aim to streamline the recovery process, making it easier for you to regain access to your account while maintaining a high level of security. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect with these updates.:

Button Revision: The original button label “Forgot Password?” has been modified to “Forgot Login Details?” to better reflect the purpose of the option, which encompasses both username and password recovery.

Enhanced Recovery Screen: The “Forgotten Password” screen has been improved with the addition of a new button labelled “Forgot Username?” This enhancement allows users who may have forgotten their username to initiate a recovery process seamlessly.

New Username Recovery Functionality: When users click on the “Forgot Username?” button, they will be directed to a dedicated screen titled “Forgotten Username.” Here, they will be prompted to enter their registered email address.

Verification Process: The newly implemented functionality mirrors the verification checks used in the original "Forgot Password" process. However, there is an added layer of complexity; the system will now also verify if there are multiple user accounts associated with the submitted email address.

Handling Duplicate Emails: In the event that the system identifies multiple accounts linked to the same email address, users will receive a notification stating, “Multiple Users with the same email.” While this scenario is uncommon, as user accounts are expected to maintain unique email addresses, it serves as a helpful warning for users who may inadvertently share an email address.

Support for Account Recovery: If users find themselves in the situation where their email address is associated with multiple accounts, they will be directed to contact their system administrators for assistance. In such cases, their system administrators will need to manually assist in recovering the username and password by verifying the user's identity and pinpointing the correct account using the existing information they have on file.

1.1.10. Contact Details in the PTW footer are now editable

We have implemented the functionality to add or modify contact phone numbers and email addresses within the footer section of PTW. This feature will be especially beneficial in scenarios where contractors are granted access to the system, ensuring they have the most current contact information at their fingertips. To update or change the footer details in your system, please reach out to the Pisys Support team for assistance.
